About Cameron

Hello! My name's Cameron, and I've been running games for three years now with players of all experience levels. My poison of choice is D&D 5e, but I also dabble in Candela Obscura. I run primarily custom games, but if you have a prewritten module you'd like to run, reach out and we can make it happen! Communication between DM and players is extremely important to me. If you have something that you want to happen (or not to happen) at the table, in or out of game, I am always available for conversation. I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable and is having fun.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

"Engaging, funny, flexible"

When I'm not running games I'm...

writing stage musicals! My full-length original musical, What's Next, debuted as a staged reading in March, 2025, and is set to premiere as a full staging in Spring 2026! Check out the cast album at www.cameronsitton.com/whatsnextmusical

How Cameron runs games

Whether you prefer mopping the floor with henchmen with your utterly broken combat monster or staying completely in-character for three hours as you interrogate suspects, I tailor each session to the players at the table so that everyone gets a chance to shine! I have run all sorts of genres and settings, from high-fantasy swashbuckling adventures to low-magic gritty mysteries, from political intrigue to prison breaks, from one-shots to multi-year epics. I pride myself on sessions and campaigns that make everyone at the table feel like an important part of the story. If you want to craft out 40 pages of backstory, I will help you build a character who's inextricably linked to the plot; alternatively, if you just want to play a knockoff version of your favorite cartoon character, I'll make sure that everyone at the table is just as invested in Mo, the Kung-Fu... Polar Bear. No matter what the game, you can always expect a fun challenge! I always aim to tailor the challenge level of the game to the player experience, so that everyone at the table has a puzzle to solve and a chance to shine whether you're a perma-DM who's memorized every page of the core rulebooks or a newcomer who's never heard a normal die called a "d6"

I once ran a session...

in which all of the PCs died in five minutes... and then busted out the ghost stat blocks to enact revenge on their killer. My players were exploring a haunted castle, so we took one week and turned what would have been a partial table and turned it into collaborative lorebuilding for the location.

Cameron's ideal table

My table is a place where I want everyone to feel welcome and have fun. I've run games for people from all experience levels and all kinds of playstyles. My goal is to present every player with a fun challenge and an engaging story, regardless of their build or prior knowledge of the game. At my table, I prioritize stories that are ultimately uplifting. I like happy endings, even if there are trials and tribulations along the way. I also make a point to resolve every character's arc so that everyone walks away from the final session feeling satisfied with where their blorbos ended up and excited to tell a new story with a new character.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

- theater and drama - (in-game) gay panic - getting emotionally attached to your characters - happy endings - silly hijinks - mystery - custom-made items and mechanics tailored to your character and playstyle - frequent Rule-of-Cool moments

I think min/maxing...

is fine! I try and tailor the challenge level of the game to each individual player at the table. you're already mowing through monsters with +15 to attack, I'll give you plenty of baddies to hit-- but I'll also present puzzles, RP moments, and other opportunities to make you think outside the box!
