About Brian
Hi, y'all! I'm Brian, a Gamer, and Veteran. Been playing RPGs since 1986, and GMing since 1991. My primary game types are what I call "Mixers," which merge different genres into a single game. Games like "Shadowrun," "Rifts," and "Coyote & Crow" are my forte, mixing fantasy, science fiction, and horror into a cohesive whole.

"Neuromancer" and "Don't Whistle After Dark."
My favorite system of all Time is
Shadowrun 4E/5E.
How Brian runs games
I'm all about the Role Playing. Most sessions, you won't need dice, unless things get so off the rails, combat is the *only* option. And, even then, we're going to make some noise! In my experience, we're here to have fun, and get out of our heads. So, the focus is going to be on the Characters, not the combat.

I deal with rules issues by...
Adapting on the fly. If we want to House Rule it, that works. But, I'm the final arbitrary.
I prep by
Keeping it light. I know that no matter how much I put into it, "no campaign survives contact with the Player Characters."
My games focus on...
Role-playing. Combat is secondary.
Brian's ideal table
I keep my sessions "Mirrorshades," a mix of serious and still offbeat. Character death is a real thing, but I'm not gunning for you. Players who can keep a sense of humor, while still staying in Character, are my favorite types of folk.

I love it when a player
Goes off the rails, but stays in Character while doing it.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Bring the outside world to the table.
I think min/maxing...
Is gonna make you the first target.
