About me

Hey folks! I’m Caleb—a queer, thirty-something RPG designer, writer, and actor. I grew up in Thailand and currently hail from (mostly) sunny Los Angeles. I love to GM. I’ve been running games since I was a kid, and I’ve never stopped wanting to run more. Players say my games are the most exciting they’ve ever experienced. I like to think they’re not exaggerating! I give my all every time we play. I love a challenge. I love mystique. I love it when my players are engaged in discovering a new world and making its exploration their own. Most of all, I love when we build a world worth exploring together.

GM Style

I see RPGs as a fundamentally collaborative experience. We’re all here to have fun and build something beautiful together. I want our table to be a safe and exciting place to explore fantastic worlds and ideas. My job as a GM is to facilitate that goal by setting the scene and providing players with unique and interesting challenges. I’m not out to kill characters, by any means, but I do find the game is most fun for everyone when there are stakes and obstacles that inspire players to heroic risks and creative solutions. As GM, I play tough but fair, signaling dangers and conducting most of my rolls out in the open so players know I’m not fudging dice to anyone’s advantage or disadvantage. I enjoy getting into character and providing some theatrics from time to time. Memorable NPCs and voices are a staple of my style. My acting background comes in handy here! That said, I don’t ask players to engage in that kind of roleplaying or improvisation if they don’t want to. I work hard to accommodate everyone’s play style.
