About PJ
Hey You! Wanna play some Forged in the Dark? Me: A GM with over a dozen years of rpg experience. You: Someone interested in playing a FitD game with a GM who wants to lean into the story the players want to tell. My favorite part of collaborative storytelling are the memories that stick with you after the session. Moments where the table took a big creative choice that led to big laughs (or maybe even a tear or two). Years of playing and running D&D 3E and Pathfinder gave me a foundation for getting crunchy when I need to, but awesome storytellers have taught me that what keeps bringing me back to the game are the character moments. Currently loving the Forged in the Dark system for focusing on the narrative while still providing a bit of mechanical crunch. I love welcoming new folks to the hobby, and I welcome folks new to the FitD system, or rpgs in general, to see my table as a space where they have a seat waiting for them. So, come on! Let's play!

I became a GM because
I wanted to share in telling stories with friends that went beyond, "we fought a monster, we got the loot, we fought a monster, we leveled up." When I GM, I'm playing to find out who the PCs are that my players have brought to the table and to create space for players to co-create a memorable story.
How PJ runs games
I love: - games that ask PCs what they value most - intrigue (political or otherwise) - combat that is more dynamic than two sides slugging it out - games that lean into themes of silliness and humor - games that lean into themes of horror

Rules are...
a tool for facilitating game play and creating clear expectations at the table. Rules are a structure; we use structures for as along as they serve the main thing. (The main thing here being: having fun together)
When it comes to voices
they are a delightful way to add immersion and reinforce the tone of the campaign.
