About me
Hi, I'm Ruairidh (pronounced roo-ree), and I've been a GM for 7 years! I started in 5E but have grown to love a variety of systems and settings. I love how inclusive the TTRPG community is, which is something I strive to emulate! The community has helped me overcome tremendous social anxiety and I hope to help others do the same <3 I've introduced many new players to the hobby and enjoy seeing the creativity new players bring to the table. GM Style
~ Roleplay heavy games - generally I encourage RPing in the first person but if players are more comfortable in the third person then I'm all for it! ~ Collaborative storytelling - everyone has equal power in shaping the story and I love reacting to elements of the story added by players! ~ Enthusiasm for your ideas and improvisation around them! ~ Active listening - making sure players and GM are on the same page is key for a smooth gaming experience. ~ Voices! ~ Player autonomy and impactful decisions

Our DM was great, and we had a lot of fun learning a totally new system with him. He was very receptive to our feedback and I recommend them 100%. Ruairidh is awesome!

I have been delighted to have Ruairidh as my GM for a handful of different RPG systems. Ruairidh's strongest traits are his charms and focus on fun for everyone (and it is clear he enjoys the games as well)! Additionally, he is a fair adjudicator and competent mediator, meaning that no conflicts linger and the game runs smoothly.

I've known Ruairidh and played games as both a GM and fellow PC for several years, and I can't vouch enough for how effortless, fun, and collaborative they feel. Always down to bounce ideas off of, firm but fair about rules and expectations, receptive to pushes in new and/or unexpected directions, and has a great sense of humour about all of it. Excellent in particular for introductory games, ty for your Pathfinder 2e evangelism! Great fellow, top lad, and dear friend 🤠👍

Not afraid to kill his players characters when they make "questionable" choices. Really strong sense of player agency. Good game knowledge but knows when to be flexible. Does great voices.

Had my first ever experience of TTRPG with Ruairidh just over a year ago and it very much gave me the bug! I can’t pick more than three tags, but aside from the ones I’ve chosen his world building is so immersive (props for sound effects/voices!), he’s great at balancing encounters and I’ve yet to have a session without some level of hilarity! He’s great at incorporating “left field” approaches to problems and suiting things to a party’s style, I think this is his own creativity in part, but also because he has a really great underlying knowledge of the rules. In short… Could not recommend highly enough!
