About me
As a nerdy mother of two, I often read stories to my kids using different character voices, and enthusiastically supply narrations for long expositions in games. I enjoy running Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, utilizing my voice acting skills to bring the world to life through various side characters and npcs. Let's make some memories!
GM Style
My goal is to: > run a story-driven campaign where details like "carry weight" and "daily rations" aren't as pivotal as character interactions and motivations > provide a stage for my players to feel like OP bad-asses > provide a platform where players feel welcome and included > strive to provide a steady stream of random magical items/weapons > incorporate player ideas in a way that is thoughtful and fair > allow for silly shenanigans to ensue > find creative and whimsical ways to challenge players I tend to allow a lot of things to slide as long as: > intentions are positive and not adversarial or antagonistic > it can impact or complement the narrative, group backstories, character/world development etc. > it aligns with player wishes/preferences/votes > it ADDs to the experience, not SUBTRACTS from the moment I promise that: > I am not your enemy; this will not be a me vs. you game > I will give each player a chance to shine in the spotlight > I will show up for our scheduled times, on time and in good spirits, (barring illness or family emergencies etc) > I will keep an open line of communication for events, cancellations, or other important information > I will do what is best for the group and (my own sanity) in situations of conflict or strife > I have an open mind and an an open-door policy Happy with your game or have some constructive feedback to offer? Played a one-shot with Corena and had the best experience. super accommodating to player requests, wanting to try crazy ideas, and all-around fun person to talk to. she also does some hilariously good npc voices! Corena is incredible at managing the dungeon, without taking away player freedom and rewarding creativity. she is comfortable in the rules but happy to adjust them in favor of rule of cool, in ways that are always fun but fair. I couldn't recommend her enough, overall 10/10 experience

Corena was an exceptional DM. I eagerly anticipate attending any future sessions she hosts, as her creativity and attention to detail were second to none. Her ability to embody a diverse range of unique NPCs with distinct voices was truly remarkable, and she demonstrated a keen willingness to embrace and encourage player creativity. As a skilled storyteller, Corena expertly crafted challenges that were both engaging and formidable, yet still conquerable with sufficient effort and ingenuity. Overall, I highly recommend Corena to anyone seeking an unforgettable and enjoyable gaming experience. A perfect 10/10.

"Anonymous" Long time player, first time reviewer. Corena is good at balancing time in the spotlight and off-set shenanigans. She prompts players for downtime tasks if there's a story element going on that excludes specific players from the scene: ie, when two players broke off from the group to meet an npc in private, she went around the table before launching into that scene to ask things like "Where is your character while this is happening/what would they be doing? Are there any loose ends that your character would need to resolve first?" The non-scene players ended up going on a manhunt to find the missing characters and it ended up being two really wholesome and hilarious scenes. Corena brings the flair- one of her NPCs legitimately had business cards that she handed out to the players. She always has maps, music, and illustrations ready to go for important scenes, which helps players to better envision the scene and the mood/what we're up against. She even made a few of us custom character portraits as a thank you for playing! I was blown away by the amount of prep work Corena invested in her homebrew "Howlmount" and I can't wait until she has her other games ready to play!
