About me

Howdy, I'm Jenny, a 25 y/o trans woman (She/They) and huge fan of all things Dungeons and or Dragons! I started off 8 years ago or so now learning 5e D&D and I haven't looked back since. I've fallen in love with roleplaying games as a whole, and have truly come to understand and enjoy table top games as a whole! I have experience both as a DM and as a player across systems such as D&D 5e, Pathfinder 1e and 2e, and Savage Worlds, and I'm always looking to play and try more! I'm just getting started with getting into the realm of paid DMing, but am far from new to DMing as a whole. On and off through my years of playing ttrpg's I have run games, primarily in D&D 5e, as it is my favorite system! I love RP above all else, but I do enjoy a good combat as well, and think the game works best when blending the two with a rules system you know well and enjoy. I seek to bring my knowledge of 5e and storytelling to make unique stories with my players so that we can all walk away saying we had a good time!

GM Style

I am primarily a DM who loves RP and to encourage RP to flourish at every turn! Be it between players, players and npcs, in combat, out, etc.. everywhere you can add flair, I love to see it. Beyond this, I find I enjoy running combat on the slightly harder side as an attempt to bring stakes to the table, especially as I tend to find not as many combat encounters happen in a typical session. Often times more than one session may pass without ever rolling for initiative, but when you do, I like it to be fun and challenge to the game! I try my best to embody my characters, giving them voices and personalities of their own that can be interacted with in a number of ways. I don't claim to be a voice-actor or a Mathew Mercer by any means, but I do my best to make the characters feel alive and unique, full of personality. I like the same of my players as well, for them to make characters that feel grounded in the world and can be interacted with in many ways. Ultimately, my goal as a DM is to tell the best story I can with the themes and trappings I love, and I would love nothing more than to share that and bring others in to take part in it and make it their stories as well!
