About me

TLDR: I’m a seasoned DM with extensive experience creating fun and safe games for players of all ages and play styles. After DMing countless hours of Adventurer's League and running monthly introductory one-shots for new players (many of them kiddos age 10 and younger) at my local game store, the pandemic brought my games online! My time spent DMing online for the Women+ Virtual convention, writing and running multiple events both in person and online, and a multitude of focused games over Roll20, Discord, and Zoom has taught me a lot — most notably, a deep understanding of how to engage a variety of players while keeping things on track. I love running games for new players! Ever wanted to try D&D but don’t know where to start? Well, you’ve come to the right person! I’d love to show you (and your friends) that fun is something you bring to the table with you. You show up and I'll show you how to unlock it! My table is a safe space, and I have spent ten years putting in the work to make sure it stays that way for every game I run. Safety tools are available and I can walk through how to use them for any group. My goal is to give my players full empowerment to ensure the stories we shape together are ones we love to tell over and over again. Let’s roll some dice!

GM Style

Improv-heavy fantasy fusion is where I shine, but I am well equipped to run a complex, crunchy, high-difficulty thematic campaign (or a good hack and slash dungeon delve) as requested. I always begin the game with a safety talk to give everyone an opportunity to express their boundaries and run them through the tools we'll be using. Even for one-shots, I dedicate time to a "Session 0" discussion where ground rules are plainly laid out so that everybody knows what to expect and any wrinkles can be ironed out before play ever starts. I expect every player to conduct themselves with respect for the other people at the table, and have absolutely no tolerance for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind. I reserve the right to give any player the boot if they violate the social contract set out at Session 0, and players who get the boot will not receive a refund. Beyond that I really am an easy-going, story-focused rule bender who is willing to work with players where they're at to curate the kind of experience they want to have.
