About me
Welcome, potential player! My name is Alex, and here's a quick rundown on who I am and what you can expect from me as your GM. Thanks for visiting! I've been running TTRPGs and other story-telling games for over 15 years, so I know what it takes to put together a memorable, immersive session. Much of my experience comes from running long-form D&D campaigns, including both pre-built modules and "homebrew" games of my own creation, but I'm also familiar with a variety of other systems and I love playing games from independent publishers--games like "Dread," "For the Queen," "Quest," and more. In addition to my years of TTRPG experience, I also have a degree in theater production and I've written and produced award-winning theater and podcasts for more than a decade now. This helps me bring a certain theatrical flair to every game I run and I take pride in building solid stories and characters, even on the fly. GM Style
I'm a veteran GM who loves to improvise and "do the voices," but I also pride myself on my preparation and world-building. I like to cultivate a chill, friendly atmosphere and I run immersive games with an emphasis on collaborative storytelling. It's not "my" world or "my" story--it's OURS! I can accommodate just about any style, but I work best with players who love to roleplay and who care about making sure each person at the "table" is having a great time. All are welcome, no exceptions! Player safety and comfort are my highest priorities, so I have zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other form of discriminatory or bullying behavior.

When Alex starts a campaign, you can tell he puts a lot of time and effort into it. He’s great at using storytelling and roleplaying to lead you into each quest. It’s not just constant dungeon crawling or one random encounter after another, when combat comes up, it truly feels like it has a real purpose and is justified. **Big Warning to Druids**, don’t Wild Shape into a monkey when there is an Evil Wizard around! You may get turned into dust! . . I really liked that character. . . Oh well, great story to tell the grandkids. LOL!!! Alex is a great GM for role-players. You can tell he really wants to get you involved and immersed in the culture and nuances of the cities and villages that you explore. I look forward to joining another campaign of his, hopefully, in the near future.

Alex is the textbook definition of what any DnD player is looking for in their game. He can breathe life into a world, while allowing players to choose their own path and take the story in the direction they find most intriguing. The attention to detail is what sticks out, even if he is thrown off script. His characters and vocal range make each encounter unique and memorable. He is truly up there with the best DMs I have seen.

I've played, under Alex, several times as a player and Alex does something a lot of DM's I've played with don't do, he puts players outside of their comfort zones and it makes for a better game. His grasp of the rule systems, that's I've played with him, is second to none. Alex turns an average game into something deeper. He takes the time to write, research and develop, not only his world, but each and every character you encounter. His stories are mysterious and his roleplaying is top notch!

Alex is a very knowledgeable and versatile DM, on top of being very good at creating a space for player creativity he also has a great command of the rules while still allowing for improvisation and player freedom. On top of that just a really cool dude.

Everytime we've played a game Alex has DM'd he has enriched every part of the experience. I have played original campaigns of his as well as some official campaigns in DnD 3.5 and 5e. He brings the game to life with his experience and attention to the detail. Always willing to roll with whatever path the players are on, and will not shy away from challenging players if they've worked themselves into a corner. Great for players of all skill levels!
