About me

Hello friends and fellow adventurers! I want to play D&D with you! I dove into running 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons 5 years ago, and it has become my favorite thing to do. I enjoy onboarding new players who have little to no TTRPG experience, teaching them how to play and getting them invested in their character and having fun playing right away. I believe in campaigns that put player choice first. I love giving players difficult choices and challenges and seeing how the story and world are shaped by players' decisions. My goal is always to create a safe, positive space for players to work together to solve problems and become heroes. Personally, I am a big nerd with a beautiful wife. I love history, English literature (I have a bachelor's in English), and gaming. I am a recent cancer survivor in remission, and I give all the glory to God for getting me through it and blessing me with so much in my life.

GM style

I enjoy roleplaying in character, giving NPCs unique character voices, but focusing more on giving players interesting choices and chances to negotiate than gimmicks. I also enjoy tactical combat, using grids on Roll20. I don't consider table-talk during combat to be "metagaming," as I think tactics and combat are a fun part of the game.
