About Aitor

Hi, I’m Aitor. I’m 36 and based in Spain. I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for over 20 years (Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and more narrative games like PbtA and Fiasco!) and I’m definitely not planning to stop anytime soon. As a GM, I love focusing on roleplay, immersion, and building stories together. I try to create vivid, cinematic moments and give characters space to grow through the choices players make. I’m also a trained psychotherapist, which shapes how I approach games. I care a lot about communication, consent, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and included at the table. I love that RPGs allow us to work through personal issues and trying new ways of relating to others. I rely a lot on improvisation, so I’m happy to follow unexpected ideas at the table and turn them into part of the story. For me, the best sessions feel dynamic, surprising, and collaborative. My goal as a GM is simple: help create memorable stories that players get excited to keep coming back to.

People are always surprised when I tell them

I’ve walked the Camino de Santiago several times (an over 700 km pilgrimage across Spain). Long days on the road, conversations with strangers, and the quiet rhythm of walking through nature make it one of my favorite experiences. It’s the kind of journey I love bringing into my games.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Collaborative – I’m not here to write a book; I want to build the story together. Your ideas matter. Teacher – I’m always learning new systems, so I’m patient and happy to help others learn too. Caring – I aim to create safe, healthy groups where people can grow as players and as people.

When I'm not running games I'm...

When I’m not running games, you’ll probably find me working as a psychotherapist or out in the mountains, enjoying long treks with friends. I value good conversations, shared adventures, and the kind of experiences that bring people closer together.

How Aitor runs games

If you join one of my games, you can expect a strong focus on roleplay, immersion, and building the story together. I run character-driven games where your choices matter, your backstory is respected, and your character has space to grow over time. I enjoy asking the kinds of questions that bring characters to life, and weaving connections between party members so the group feels like a real team with shared history and emotional ties. My sessions aim for vivid, cinematic moments, but also quiet scenes where the story can breathe. When we use tactical gameplay, it always serves the fiction first—style, flavor, and narrative matter more to me than perfect optimization. I love creativity at the table. I improvise often, adapt quickly to unexpected choices, and build on player ideas whenever possible. If you enjoy collaborating with the GM and shaping the story together, you’ll probably feel at home at my table. Just as important is creating a respectful and supportive environment. I care about communication, consent, and making sure everyone feels welcome and heard, with space for every player to shine.

Aitor's ideal table

My ideal table is full of players who dive deep into roleplay, respect turns, and embrace player diversity. Discrimination is a big red line in my table. I love players who take risks in PC-to-PC interactions while seeking consent, communicate boundaries openly, and enjoy the journey as much as the epic moments. Creative problem-solving and finding original solutions in-game is a big plus. Collaboration, trust, and empathy matter as much as imagination and bold ideas. The best games happen when everyone contributes to shared stories in a supportive, inclusive space.
