About TLDR

Hello! I have been an eternal GM since I started playing with friends 20 years ago. I feel that the hobby just fits my skills and inclinations and I derive great satisfaction from seeing my hard work rewarded by good vibes and people having fun around the table. I am avalible to run custom games for your group with any system or adventure you desire (within the guidelines of StartPlaying), DM me and we'll see! I used more system than I can remenber the name of but the main staples are: D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk and Traveller. Nowadays I am moving towards more modern system with less hour-long tactical combat and number crunching and more narrative tools inserted in the mechanics, e.g: Daggerheart and Beam saber. I generally run character driven stories with 80% roleplay/exploration/investigation and 20% combat. I like stories with conflict, high stakes, moral conundrums and a balance between real challenge (inside and outside of combat) and the chance for the characters to have meaningful arcs. I do not believe in plot armor, chosen ones or deux ex machina resolutions. I want your characters to live and achieve a narratively satisfying resolution but once the methaforical board is set your decisions and the dice will decide. I think that without real danger and chance of failure there is no real success. I am coming to Start Plaing Games for two reasons: to find dedicated players and to prove to myself I can be a real pro.

How TLDR runs games

I think my players would highlight these thigns in my GM style: -Games are curated/adapted for a wide variety of player styles. It happens often than both minmaxers and roleplayers can enjoy the same adventure with me. -Challenge is adequate and balanced to the given party. Danger is real. Bad decisions might get you kill but there is always a different way. -Great capacity for intigue and investigation stories. Specially in focus in homebrew Call of Cthulhu and similar systems. -Newcomer friendly. I introduced succesfully many groups to the hobby which stuck around to become a new gen of veterans! -Tough but fair. Many players experienced really low lows and high highs that felt earned and a natural consequence of the character decisions. -The world and the NPCs react naturally to player actions and evolve on their own with the pass of time. -Wide background in fantasy and science fiction content and open mindness for PC concepts. This facilities including the wild ideas of players in the ongoing game :-) -Fun and welcoming environment. Fun for everybody is the absolute maximum priority around the table and everybody is welcome.
