About Orthodis

I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 1983, when my older brother and his friends let a nine‑year‑old pull up a chair and roll some dice. I spent the next decade playing and DMing AD&D, teaching friends the game, and falling in love with worldbuilding and storytelling. After a break, I returned during 3.5 and later found a long‑running 5e group before moving online. Along the way, I realized how rare it is to find a DM who balances creativity, organization, pacing, and the social side of the game. That’s what I aim to offer here: a welcoming, well‑run table where players of all backgrounds can learn, explore, and have fun. If you’re respectful, curious, and ready to enjoy the adventure, you’ll fit right in.

How Orthodis runs games

My games move at a good pace and feature plenty of encounters, but combat is never the only solution. Creativity, clever ideas, and roleplay can change the course of almost any situation. I run mostly rules‑as‑written with thoughtful tweaks that enhance fun and clarity. I’m patient, organized, and focused on keeping the story flowing so no one feels lost or overwhelmed. Above all, I believe the table should be a fun, respectful space. Be kind, be cool, and we’ll have a great time together. If you have a group that wants a specific adventure or campaign, I’m happy to run it — just give me a little notice so I can prepare it properly. Thanks and may all your rolls in life be nat 20s!

Orthodis's ideal table

My ideal table is friendly, collaborative, and excited to explore the story together. You don’t need to be an expert — just bring curiosity, respect, and a willingness to engage with the world and the group. I welcome new players, returning players, and veterans who enjoy a mix of tactical combat, atmospheric storytelling, and meaningful choices. If you like a game that moves at a steady pace, rewards creativity, and keeps the focus on fun, you’ll feel right at home.
