About me

Hi there! I'm a long time DM who's been running games for 8 years in 5th edition D&D mostly, with a few other ttrpgs sprinkled in. I'm mostly doing this for fun, so fun is my biggest priority. When it comes to running the game, I like to make things feel as balanced and challenging as I can while also giving my players opportunities to express themselves and goof around. I can be strict about the rules, but only because I think that consistent and reliable rules lead to more immersive games and encourage creativity through limitations. However, the most important thing is that everyone is having fun, and I'm not about to let the rules get in the way of anyone's fun. Also, I really enjoy roleplaying my characters and love to get my players invested in all the cool and wacky NPCs they meet. When it comes to managing the table, I like to keep a fun and laid back atmosphere both at the table and beyond. I like to think of all my players as friends, but at the same time, I am not afraid to exert my authority as DM if one or more players are creating issues for others at the table. I will not tolerate players being intolerant, abusing their fellow players inside or outside the game, or generally doing anything that upsets anyone else. If there is a dispute, I will do my best to mediate in a way that leaves everyone feeling understood and respected. And if I fail my duties as DM, I will do whatever I can to correct my behavior and make things right. I hope you'll give me a chance and we can have some awesome adventures together!

GM Style

My main strength is roleplay. I really like getting into character and portraying them as believably as I can. Ultimately, I want the experience to be as immersive as possible. I also like to create fair but challenging combat encounters that will test your tactics and creativity. I can be strict about the rules, but only because I think that consistent and reliable rules lead to more immersive games and encourage creativity through limitations. For combat, I tend to use theatre of the mind with occasional maps.
