About Frank F (Anachronologist)
I've been playing games since before I can even remember, and got into tabletop gaming around middle-school to high school age. My interest was always more toward the DMing side of things, something about the world building and creating that I enjoy. I mostly played Dungeon's & Dragons, I started with 3rd edition around the time it first released. I had a brother and some friend who were familiar with AD&D, so they joined in and we went from there. Tried some other games along the way as well like Cyberpunk 2020 and others, but D&D was always my familiar system I've played with a few different groups since then through college and beyond, though I admit I haven't played in a while, I've still kept up with the editions and have played a few 5th edition games. I've been working on a custom campaign setting that I'd like to playtest in the future but for now I'd like to hone my DM skills with some free games. I'm not used to playing online, so it may be a little shaky at first until I get used to it. Patience is surely appreciated.

How Frank F (Anachronologist) runs games
I like to do a good balance of roleplaying and combat, I try to mold the experience around who I'm playing with, so I'll often ask my players what type of game they would all individually like to play, and find a way of incorporating everyones preference is half the fun & challenge of being a DM. I do love it when people genuinely get into character and so voice, mannerisms, etc are all encouraged, but never mandatory. My only gripe is meta gaming (ie: bringing outside game knowledge into the game itself regardless of character knowledge. I will call people out on it, and if that isn't your jam, then you may not enjoy the way I prefer to run games. I try to keep as much of the time spent "in game" as possible, but I can be adaptable.
