About DM JON

Hello Fellow Adventurer. I am DM Jon. I have been running games for friends and family for over 40 years. Now I am expanding into online DMing. I would enjoy having some new friends to run for. My rule number one is have fun, but not at another's expense. I love collaborative storytelling and having a awesome time. The written story is really more of a guideline then an actual rule. New players are always welcome at my table. Let me hear your ideas and together we can make it come to life.I will integrate character backstories to my overall plot.

How DM JON runs games

I enjoy a balance between role-playing and combat. I keep a fair risk/reward and enjoy home brewing some of my magic items. Most game sessions should be a mix of combat and role-playing. Everyone shares the spotlight at my table and the players are the heroes of the story. Over the 40 years of running D&D, I have learned a lot of different styles. From bloodthirsty vampires to a fluffy bunny story for my 5 year old. I am flexible to the groups needs but try to keep most games to a PG13 rating.

interaction. These games are a group effort and not simply the DM telling the whole story. I enjoy making some memorable NPC and Villians. The best interactions are from when you can let yourself and your character be themselves.

DM JON's ideal table

I don't think there is an Ideal table. Every group is different, with a great variety of possibilities. The types of people I prefer at my table are those that want to work together to tell an incredible story. I appreciate and foster an environment where each player shares the spotlight over the course of the game.
