About me

My name is TV, I am a 32 west-coaster who enjoys fantasy, nonsense, and fantasy nonsense. I'm a long-time tabletop player, been roleplaying and engaging in tabletop games since I was about 12-13 years old. I've run one long-term campaign and several one/two-shot games in the past. I've begun really enjoying it and liking the process of building a world. I have a predominant theater and improv background, I love storytelling, and I'm really hoping to branch out and explore new venues with Startplaying.

GM Style

I prefer a narrative, open world approach to choices and gameplay. I have a theater background primarily, and so I prefer to set the board and let character choices and desires fuel the action of the story. I think once you and your players have done the groundwork to set the pieces in place, everything else comes naturally and authentically. I really enjoy and value crafting a story people can get behind that allows them to flex and play creatively and genuinely. I'm a little more loosey-goosey on combat and tend to prefer valuing a player's intention and story over strict adherence to game rules.
