About me

Hello! My name is Justin and I've been DM'ing for groups of my friends since the release of 5e. I've played previous versions of D&D, but 5e is where I fell in love with DM'ing. I've primarily ran Homebrew content for these six years, but have dabbled in some modules (currently running Curse of Strahd). Why hire me to DM for you? I've always told people that finding "your" DM is like an Attunement process with no clear time frame. Attunement in this sense is defined as such - 'A kinesthetic and emotional sensing of others knowing their rhythm, affect and experience by metaphorically being in their skin, and going beyond empathy to create an experience of unbroken feeling connectedness by providing a reciprocal affect and/or resonating response.' With this in mind we are making this connection not just between DM and player, but everyone at the table. I feel like this is a essential skill of mine, so much that I joke that I not only DM with proficiency, but with expertise. I will work hard on this Attunement process between us and all my players.

GM Style

I like to think my style is tailored to my players. I love RP, the intricacies of combat and describing fantastical places. If you are a Critical Role fan, know that the "Mercer Effect" for me is a goal, not something to say is unreasonable. I am being paid to do this after all. Just don't have the same expectations for the rest of your party. If you don't know what I'm speaking of here, great! I hope to bring you the highest quality of combat, detailed environments, and some not too shabby voice acting.
