About Don
I'm old. SUPER old...like in my late 40's. I've been playing and running roleplaying games for more than three decades (that just sounds painfully old). Systems that I've run include Old World of Darkness (Mage and Vampire mostly), various editions of Dungeons and Dragons, classic Deadlands, Deadlands Hell on Earth. I've also run Marvel's old TSR game and the Dresden Files RPG, but wouldn't suggest it...in those mechanics lie madness.

How Don runs games
When running a game, I try to create an organic world that will change based on the actions of the PCs. Subplots that get introduced will continue to progress, even if the players ignore them (which can lead to interesting encounters and consequences down the road). Mechanics are secondary to the story...the rules shouldn't get in the way of a good time for the group. I prefer games heavy on the roleplaying side. For most games, I prefer battle maps (I tend to use Role20), but don't often find it necessary in WoD.
