How to prepare

Players need to at least have a mic for voice (even if it is just your phone logging into discord). A camera is encouraged but completely optional. They will also need to have access to the internet so they can access Discord and Tableplop. Dice are included in Tableplop, so once you have your character and all of their actions written out, rolling checks, attacks, and damage is super easy!

What I provide

I bring the online maps and even create little silly pixel art for all of the NPC's. If you would like me to do one for your character as well, just let me know!

Gameplay details

Session 0 will be used to introduce the players and DM. It will also be used to introduce characters or help create characters. We will set up expectations for general behavior and tone of the group. Safety tools such as a Consent Checklist will be sent out via google forms prior to Session 0 so that we can discuss what is within/off-limits for the campaign. We will also discuss how we would like to handle absences and latecomers, as well as unexpected rescheduling. During gameplay, I am happy to play with or without cameras (although I think it is more fun to see everybody make faces and gestures!). All players should come prepared to play! This means having created your character sheet and read the rules for your race and class. (I am happy to answer direct messages about character creation and leveling between sessions.) Lastly, a positive attitude and a little teamwork between players will make for a great session!

How will character creation work

All players need to start with a Level 1 character. You may use any character options from any officially published WOTC book. I am happy to help new players create their character. If you get decision paralysis with all of the options, I recommend sticking with options from the Player's Handbook for a classic experience. I can also provide a generic character for those who prefer it. Tableplop is a free TTRPG hosting website. All characters must be put into Tableplop using the SRD 5.0 template so that the information is somewhat uniform for the DM to review/help with character creation.
