About the adventure

Welcome to a world where there likely is something under your bed. Curse of Strahd is a gothic horror game with a dark reputation. Will you survive the night, let alone the campaign? If you enjoy the darker side of stories, this is probably the place for you. Come wrap up in a dark cloak and see if maybe you're the creature that goes bump in the night. I love horror and enjoy drawing out the darker aspects found in the Domains of Dread, especially the tortured land of Barovia. This game will have a focus on immersing the players and their characters into the realm as much as possible, getting emotionally invested to the point where your adrenaline races along side your characters.

How to prepare

You will require the following: - Discord Profile - Roll 20 Profile - Microphone - Provide a picture of you character (optional) - Character back story (want to write a book? I'll read it and tie it into the game)

What I provide

I will host the Roll 20 and Discord server, complete with maps and offline support for players. Offline role playing is allowed and encouraged, there will be a role play chat made available between game sessions.

Gameplay details

There will be a session zero to discuss boundaries and limits. If there are hard limits for the players, the campaign will be rewritten and modified to accommodate the players. If an unexpected trigger comes up during game, the game will be adjusted accordingly. Will contain horror elements, including body horror, supernatural horror, gothic horror, psychological horror, ghost stories, and dark fantasy. I have been known to get descriptive to the point my players have mentioned having nightmares after a session. The goal is to be open and communicate, so there will be frequent check ins with players and after care post session. The biggest part of session zero will be to establish boundaries and comfort levels.

How will character creation work

There will be a session zero where character creation will be discussed. Come prepared with an idea or start from scratch during the first session. You are highly encouraged to write a back story, simple or elaborate. I am a huge fan of tying character back stories into the campaign, so the more information provided before hand will enhance the role playing experience. The better the back story, the better the emotional buy in. Character Creation Resources: - Most source material on DnD Beyond is available, but there is some restrictions that will be discussed in session 0 - Standard 27 point buy - Equipment is standard for class and background, plus one common magic item

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
