About the adventure
Your Patron is taking a journey. Every time they leave, it feels like the last time you'll ever see them, and all you want to do is remind them of you while they're gone so they hurry back to their favorite pet. So you need to give them a gift. But not any gift. Their favorite gift, or a gift so close to the heart that they MUST remember you most and will hurry home to you. But all the others want to be the favorite as well, and they don't play fair... so maybe you don't play fair either. At nightfall, all gifts will be opened in the great hall and your patron will announce their favorite, and it's your job to make sure that favorite is you. This game is a one-shot using Dungeons and Dragons 5e rules where the players create characters modeled after the behaviors of their pets.
Additional Details
How to prepare
You will need a webcam and mic, though audio quality is more important than video and we may drop the image if it impedes the sound. I will provide a link to a Google Meet, please have either a printed character sheet or a digital one on DndBeyond. You can use digital or physical dice.
What I provide
In-person games get complimentary dice. Online games receive my adoration (and I will mail you a die if you're willing to pay for shipping).
Gameplay details
Low-combat, focus on social and skill-based encounters. Player-driven goals tied to their connection to the patron, which will be defined at the start of the session. Players will have third-level characters created prior to game time.

How will character creation work
Characters are level three and created by the players prior to game time. Using DnDBeyond.com is probably the easiest way, though pen and paper character sheets are acceptable. For accessibility, only Player's Handbook content may be used.
