About Trampas Johnson

Hi! I'm Trampas, at your service. I've been passionate about games (roleplaying and board) and storytelling for as long as I can remember. Currently, I'm in the process of opening a TTRPG B&B, but while we renovate I am running games in person and remotely. I've also managed a board game store, in addition to teaching a course on euro-style board games, serving as the spielmeister (gamemaster) at a German beer hall, and volunteering for gaming conventions (both as a game master and corporate sponsorship solicitor). I also created and help facilitate an introduction to D&D event in cooperation with a local craft cocktail bar. I have a background in improv theater, musical theater, creative writing, and editing. Gaming is my passion and I want to be a good steward of the hobby.

How Trampas Johnson runs games

I am a fan of the players, and act as the chorus to their performances. My descriptive style is cinematic: I use camera movements when I describe things and things like smash cuts, flashbacks, and other filmmaking concepts to enhance story, tone, and understanding. I have a background in theater, improv, and music, and use those skills to elevate the story.
