About the adventure

The wealthy and prosperous nation of Zoder remains as such by ridding itself of any and all who are considered criminals. Two decades ago the nation set up an experimental prison colony across the Zoder Sea. The named the lands ZoderENDs At first, only the truly vile were exiled from Zoder. Murders, Rapist, Psychos. However Zoder quickly found this to be a cheap and effective solution to even the pettiest of crimes. And soon after that anyone who the powers wished gone, were put on a ship and exiled to Zoderend. Never to return. Zoder figured most would die on the trip, and if they somehow survived that 3 week voyage, then the rabid wilderness and savage natives would surly finish the job of exterminating the filthy common weeds. But that is just the thing about weeds. They tend to grow even in the harshest conditions. Wave after wave of ship carrying undesirables became a community. Each criminal with skills and experience, many with the ruthlessness to do what must be done to survive. The forsaken flourished. Without bounds, or laws they built a town, a port and more. Much more. Zoderend is now a vicious place with all manor of vile, evil people free to do what they will. Mages commit human sacrifices to gain power. Salvers have captured natives and began a slave trade. Wild beast, never seen in Zoder roam the walls. Corruption runs rampant. And whispers are heard talking about a city of Vampires and a city of Lycan somewhere in Zoderend... Yet somehow, It has also become and escape of sorts. Zoderend is rich in resources. At least away from the main town it is. Some now willingly leave Zoder, in search of wealth, new horizons, fame, a new beginning, or any other number of reasons. New exiles come every other week. Most do not live to see the next incoming ship. This is where you are headed. What crimes did you commit to earn you such a fate? Perhaps you are one of innocents who simply seek new horizons, what then brought you to the ends of the earth. Knowing that no one who has ever left for Zoderend has returned to Zoder. Weather forced or by choice, your new life starts now! You better keep your wits sharp, and your blade ever sharper, lest your memory be lost like all who wander these forsaken land... My campaigns are usually on the gritty, realistic side of D&D but we can get a little out there and over the top when the time is right. I aim to challenge you in combat and with puzzles. Combat is not always the answer, but it is always an option. Teamwork is often the key. The choices you have to make, will sometimes be hard or uncomfortable. There is no truly wrong path, but all actions have consequences. Death is possible at any level at any time, and should you die that is ok. My main rule is that we have a freaking blast while we play. That players respect each other and keep distractions to a minimum. This is your time and I'm here to make sure that time is spent epicly. I would like to start this as a static weekly campaign and another completely separate drop in campaign. Each with its own story, with player characters existing the same universe, whose actions may affect the other parties journey through Zoderend. 18+ Homebrewed Campaign as there are adult themes and violence. Beginners are very very welcome. I have been helping friends learn D&D for over a decade now. Roleplay is encouraged but not necessary. Are you female and want to play a male? No problem. Male and want to play an young/old woman? No problem! Come be who you desire here in Zoderend. We are all accepting, and the desert sands treat all as equals. Character creation will take place on DnDBeyond and sessions will be played on Role20. Mic is 100% a must camera is heavily suggested as so we can feel as if we are truly sitting across from each other at the D&D table. If you have questions, please reach out to me. Thank you!

Gameplay details

I have created a story and plot. They are place but will never force anything on you the players. This is your game, your time, and you can do the things you want. I am here to make sure they are fun. However, the world is reactive to your actions and inactions. Does an NPC run into the tavern warning you about a group of cutists summoning a demon god? Did you choose to ignore that quest? Demon god MAY be flying around destroying the world next session. Leave a cursed item so you dont have to deal with it? It could be picked up by an npc and come back later. Lots of exploring and choices. You are free to play how you like! How Will Character Creation Work Characters will start at level 1. Would like to discuss and build backstories and characters during first session and determine where the players will begin in the world and how they got there. Starting at level 1 really adds to the immersion as they have to feel what kind of subclass to take when they level up as they progress in the world.
