Tyranny of Dragons - Bi-Weekly 6+ Hour Sessions - Beginner Friendly Adventure Module - Levels 1-12

About the adventure

We'll be running the official Tyranny of Dragons adventure module from WotC. The adventure takes place exclusively along the Sword Coast and will take characters from levels 1-11. New players are more than welcome. Sessions will be bi-weekly but will run roughly 6-7 hours, or even longer if we're all up for it. There will be a session 0 to go over everything and discuss the game and what everyone wants out of it. We'll try to fit it into an evening one day before we play, or we'll do it for the first few hours of our first session and jump into the adventure afterwards. Looking forward to playing with you!

How to prepare

A functional microphone and solid internet connection. Download and create an account in Discord, if you do not already have one. https://discord.com/ Create an account in DnD Beyond. Invite links to the campaign will be provided in the Discord. What I provide

Detailed maps, music, and artwork tailored to this campaign. A positive, friendly, and welcoming space free from judgement, where we will create a shared story through exploration, epic battle, and comical shenanigans.

Gameplay details

Sessions will start at 10am CST and will run until 4-5pm. Topics we'll cover in session 0: How long we want the sessions to run What kind of game we want to play (serious or more jovial) How often we take breaks. I imagine we'll want to eat lunch at some point Content boundaries We'll create characters and discuss how they may be involved with the campaign and each other

How will character creation work

Characters will be created during session 0. Character creation will be done in DnD Beyond. I have many source books and will share them with everyone in the campaign. We'll create our characters in DnD Beyond and link them to Foundry VTT with this extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/beyond-20/gnblbpbepfbfmoobegdogkglpbhcjofh. I have most source books unlocked. Characters start at level 1. Point Buy or Standard Array for stats. All official books are allowed. Homebrew is not allowed. Multiclassing is limited. You'll need a realistic in-game narrative reason to dip into another class, and it will require additional in-game work on your behalf. This is to mitigate the potential for a large power disparity in the party, as many new players do not like to multiclass.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
