About the adventure

"It's been eight years of waiting, but it seems like it's finally here. Rumors filled the air months ago, and then flyers started appearing out of nowhere advertising the Witchlight Carnival, and that name struck something inside you. Something's missing. Something that longs for joy, fun, and awe. People around you start whispering and pointing to the sky above the nearby forest. You look up just in time to see a hole and something falling into the forest. The trees sprout legs, get up, and start moving, creating space for whatever is coming next..." In this adventure, you will be able to: 🧌Encounter lots of social interactions, as well as plenty of adversaries from the land of faeries; 🪄Cast spells to heal, harm, influence, deceive, and protect both ally and foe; ⚔️Find and use magical trinkets, weapons, armor, and artifacts; 🗺️Explore the unmeasured chaos of the Witchlight Carnival and the Plane of Faerie; 🔍Investigate the source of your longing and discover the secrets of the Carnival. Are you an experienced player looking for a long-term campaign? Maybe you've been watching Critical Role or Dimension 20 and want to know what it is like to be a member of the party that takes on one of the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons?! Well, you've come to the right place. In this game we'll experience a lot of the role-playing aspect, opening up the space for you, the player, to take on challenges however you see fit! Want to talk it out? Sure. Want to whack'em? Go for it! Want to use magic? Bibidi bobidi do it. The game will be played in Foundry VTT, accompanied by a video call in Discord. During the game, it will be used alongside Theater of Mind to provide a full image of any events and situations that might happen. Artwork, soundtracks, and battle maps will be used, as well as voice acting and sound effects provided by the DM.

How to prepare

To be able to play, you'll need: 🎤 A decent microphone and a webcam (if you own one); 💻 A computer monitor no smaller than 1366x768 and a web browser (preferably Google Chrome) to run Foundry VTT; 💬 (free) A Discord account as well as the Discord application installed on the device where you will connect your microphone;

Gameplay details

📖The game will be paced according to the players' comfort with the rules. 🚾Every session contains a 5-10 minute break. ⚠️Safety Tools will be covered in each player's first session. 💬A Discord server will be used for the games and any game-related questions. 🎵Music and ambiance sound will be used. The volume is controllable by each player.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 1, and character creation will happen during Session 0 in one of two ways: - (Recommended if you have some experience) You bring a character idea already, and I'll help you create it using DnD Beyond; - (Recommended if you have no experience) You select from a list of characters I have already created before tackling character creation. Character Creation rules: - Classes and Subclasses from the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Explorer's Guide to Wildemount; - Races from the Player's Handbook and Monsters of the Multiverse; - Ability scores are determined by Point Buy (27 points) or Standard Array (15 14 13 12 10 8. Characters need approval from the DM before getting into the game.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
