How to prepare

Players should have the Discord app, as well as a Forge account. Both of these are free to use without the requirement for a subscription. A working microphone is required to play. Webcams are allowed, but not a requirement to play.

What I provide

I'll have all of the associated maps and tokens needed to run this adventure, as well as pre-generated character sheets and tokens for those as well. I'll provide some light ambient music to play during the session as well.

Gameplay details

"The Starlight Relic" is a mystery adventure with some light puzzle mechanics and challenging combat encounters. Players will have the opportunity to roleplay through intense scenarios involving choosing sides in an on-going struggle between two factions. For this one-shot, I will be using the X-card system to ensure all players are comfortable with the gameplay at all times. I will explain further how this works at the start of the session. I will also be available after the session to talk to players about their experience if they wish.

How will character creation work

The party takes on the role of adventurers who have come to the region for a vacation. All characters should be level 3, and use options available from official sourcebooks. Players will use Point Buy to determine their stats. You are free to build your character on D&D Beyond, or from within the Foundry VTT directly. For your starting items, you may choose between "Starting Gear" or "Starting Gold".
