About the adventure

The theme is high fantasy with magic, dragons, and the like. For centuries and more dragons, elves, humans, dwarves, and everything in between have lived in harmony. But after a nasty plot is discovered, the dragons have turned against all and have decided to start ripping magic from the hands of all. They believe no one worthy of magic and have seen the horrors of all -- especially humans -- to be unforgivable. I like to play with a mix of roleplay and combat, though my most preferred out of the two is roleplay with a balance of combat sprinkled in. For this game, I plan on a roleplay heavy campaign, though there will be conflicts for the players to get into or get out of depending on how they go about things.

How to prepare

A basic understanding of D&D is best when it comes to this campaign. This is one of the first official campaigns I've run players through so I have a good idea with the world and it's pretty flexible. I'd ask if you could have a mic for we'll be in a Discord chat, if you don't though, just stay in the chat where you can hear and you can type what you want to do. But it's easier if you can talk. You don't have to install any software, I can stream Tabletop Simulator for us. If you already have it and you want to join the room you're more than welcome! I'd also ask if you could bring your own dice, as I don't really like virtual dice rolling (it's always rolled very random and mostly low in my experience). But there will be a dice roller in the Discord just in case you need it. As for character sheets, D&D Beyond has a great character builder as well as an app called FifthEditionCharacterSheet in the app store (though I do believe it costs $3 to unlock the ability to level up and it doesn't have as much freedom as D&D Beyond), and if you want to use a good ole character sheet that's totally fine as well! The only thing I do ask with character creation is that you send me your sheets so I can look over them quickly. It helps me understand your character better and even help build the story around the characters in the story.

What I provide

I have dice of my own that I will bring. I've got a map that we can look at if we need to use it. I've got a DM's Guide, Monster Manual, and a Player's Handbook. So if there's any questions you have that can be found in the Player's Handbook, I can definitely help. If it's something that's not in the Handbook, then I'm more than happy to help with Googling because I know 5e has grown way out of the book and not everything that some would like to play can be found in there (i.e. some D&D Beyond classes/races/etc.). I also have my own Discord we will play in with a Dice Roller and other resources built into it if needed.

Gameplay details

As of right now there's nothing to give as a content warning besides standard D&D violence through combat and battles. If you have any concerns on what content you don't want to see or triggers, I'm more than open to hearing these out and making sure they do not cross your adventure.

How will character creation work

If you want to create your characters beforehand, that's totally okay. If you need help or have any questions let me know. If you'd like to message me and talk with me on Discord while you create your character as well I'm more than open to that as well. The characters will start off at level 3. As for stats, I like my players to roll 4 D6, reroll 1s' & 2's (meaning if you keep rolling a 1 or 2, keep going until you get a 3 or higher), drop the lowest number and add the 3 D6 you have left together.
