About the adventure

As the last signature is scrawled across the Treaty of Thronehold, Queen Aurala ir'Wynarn stands before the great council, war-battered veterans of all ranks, and noble peoples of Eberron surveying the room proudly. Her voice carries clear and confidently above the crowd. You stand in a row of strangers, clearly, warriors all dressed up for the occasion. Some of you looking very out of place in the Aundair palace. "Let us proceed into an era of peace and recovery." She holds her goblet up high, those attending follow suit. "May the peoples of Aundair, Breland, Darguun," As the Queen states each realm she nods in the direction of their representative or leader, "the Eldeen Reaches, Karrnath, the Lhazaar Principalities, the Mror Holds, Q’barra, the Talenta Plains, Thrane, Valenar, and Zilargo come together as one stronger, better, more prosperous Khorvaire--" "To New Cyre." A male voice speaks loudly from the back of the room, interrupting the queen. People gasp and look back, quiet murmurs fill the room. A well-dressed, Nobleman steps up from the crowd. You recognize him as Prince Oargev. "May it flourish." Queen Aurala and Prince Oargev hold a steely glare. "Cyre no longer exists Prince Oargev. Nor, has it ever been." A smile creeps across her statue-like face as guards rush in around Prince Oargev. They seize him and drag him towards the back of the room. Queen Aurala taps on her glass, the crowd turns to her once more. She smiles and turns to the rest of the crowd again. "To Khorvaire." "To Khorvaire!" The crowd echoes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About the game: Set immediately at the end of the Last War, The Acquisition Chronicles (TAC) is an adventure that focuses on organized crime, political tension, and uncovering the great secrets behind the fated Day of Mourning. As an adventurer, you will embark on a journey throughout the nations of Khorvaire in order to find out what truly happened in Cyre and just how you are tied to the supernatural disaster that not only devastated a nation, but ended a war. TAC is a homebrewed Eberron adventure for Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition that utilizes both 3.5 and 5th edition Eberron lore and is largely centered around the political dealings of the Khorvaire nations post-war. This adventure is specifically crafted for each group and relies heavily on your characters' backstories. Each player will be required to create a character that has personally been involved with the Last War and has been involved with an organization or political party/monarchy within the nations of Khorvaire. Due to being near Cyre on the Day of Mourning your characters will experience memory loss about that day and some months during the war, these lost memories will be discussed one on one and revealed throughout the campaign. Join the adventure and see why Cyre fell!

How to prepare

Players will need to access the Foundry Virtual Table Top (FoundryVTT) in order to participate in combat, view maps and handouts, and more. I host the game on my PC and share the link to the game with you so there is no software installation required. Foundry is a little beefy so please check out the specs and check if your computer can handle it! You can view system minimum requirements for Foundry here: https://foundryvtt.com/article/requirements/. Players will also need a reliable mic. in order to play with the rest of the party. Webcams are completely optional (I personally don't use one). I want everyone to be comfortable and have a good time! If you like your webcam, awesome! If you don't that's also cool! Players should be familiar with the basic rules of DND before playing this game. I am of the belief that everyone is always learning so you don't need to know everything verbatim, but basic knowledge of character sheets, rolls, and how to take your turn during combat would be awesome!

What I provide

I will bring the story, the maps, the vtt, music through syrinscape or the discord bot! Oh, and of course, the monsters.

Gameplay details

The Acquisition Chronicles is a strictly 18+ adventure that deals with heavy topics, such as: grief, post-war recovery of nations, political tension, betrayal, memory loss, PTSD, economic inequality and strife, organized crime, and more. The Monte Cook RPG Consent list is required for every player to fill out and turn in before Session 1. Players will be allowed to revise their consent list at any time. The personal lists are kept completely anonymous and are compiled onto one master list for my personal planning and reference. During game time, I utilize an X card in Foundry that can be clicked at any time during the game which will signal that someone is uncomfortable and we will promptly, no questions asked, change the topic or fade to black and move on. I also schedule a break mid-session and always plan to discuss the session and our goals for the following week after we get to a stopping point for the evening. It is a requirement at my table that everyone's boundaries be respected both in-game and in conversation on Discord so that we can all have a good time! :D
