About the adventure
Content note: This is an R-rated horror campaign for adults. There will be violence, sexual content, drug/alcohol use and other content that may not be appropriate for everyone. We will discuss personal boundaries at Session Zero. It is also a cannabis and alcohol friendly table. The Frostmaiden's magic has trapped Ten Towns in a bleak, endless winter. Crops freeze, livestock go missing. The people begin to lose hope. As adventurers you will face desperate arctic survival, terrifying monsters, and cunning foes. You could be a great hero, saving the innocent people of Ten Towns; or maybe a profiteer, seeking treasure and ancient magic powers. You could be a villain seeking your own domain of power. (See Character Creation for notes about Evil characters). This campaign will cover the module Icewind dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden and may also include 3rd party and homebrew additions. It is expected to last about a year and reach level 11-12. How to prepare
Your #1 priority is to have a working microphone, headset, and a stable internet connection. If you have those, I am always happy to help you through everything else. You will need access to Discord for voice chat. This can be on your computer or mobile device. Video chat is optional. You will need free accounts on dndbeyond.com and roll20.net. If possible, I strongly recommend (but do not require) you also install the browser extension, "Beyond20" which will make your life much easier by letting you use DnD Beyond, Roll20, and Discord together. If you need help getting any of these set up, please contact me and I will be glad to help you out.
What I provide
I will be providing a private Discord server, virtual maps and tokens via Roll20, and all D&D sourcebooks, which I can share with you on dndbeyond.com. I use ambient music and occasional sound effects, though these can be turned off if you prefer. Combat tends to be tactical and we generally stick to the rules as intended, but with exceptions. I will do my best to be clear when it is a one-time Rule of Cool event as opposed to a permanent ruling.

This is an R-rated adult game. There will be violence, sexual content and drug/alcohol use. We will discuss personal boundaries at session zero. You will never be asked to participate in content you are not comfortable with. However there may be references to such content happening "off screen."

How will character creation work
Character Sheets will be hosted on DND Beyond. You may use any official, published D&D material. No Unearthed Arcana or homebrew without prior approval. Use either Point Buy or Standard Array for abilities. If you prefer to use Roll20 exclusively, you may but you will not have access to my compendium, which is hosted on DnD Beyond. You may create a character ahead of time, but please be prepared to make changes at your first session. Since this is meant to be a more adult game, Evil characters will be allowed. But if you choose to play as evil, you must also be prepared to accept all possible consequences. This could include being hunted and executed, possibly by your own party members.
