About the adventure
The shadows have long held things of nightmares, ghost stories passed down through campfire tales and warnings uttered from mothers to young children. Recently these tales have grown tooth and nail, beings once made of thoughts and words given scales and hide that repel all blades. Ours was once a land of peace, the populace grown fat on a steady diet of food and lack of war, now the few settlements that remain are high walled and well lit, a sun onto themselves, the shadows all but banished within their rays. Cold, barren swathes of land separate these settlements, an ocean of stone, grass and shadow that few ever brave. The once clean roads, now home to a multitude of skeletons and names long forgotten. One of these bastions of light recently faded from existence, the elders of Azuril have seen fit to assemble a group to investigate what occurred in Spinel and to either stop it, or find out how to prepare for its coming. These names were drawn as lots of each citizen of age from within its walls to ensure fairness. Your name had been chosen.

How to prepare
All you'll need to bring with you is a Discord account, a Roll20 account and a Microphone. If you bring a character idea we can work them into the game, or if you'd rather discuss with the party, we can work with that too!
What I provide
I will be able to provide access to all needed books for character races/classes and equipment. Voices and ambient music/sounds will be used throughout but you don't need to do voices if you're not comfortable with it! As this campaign is more horror/survival focused, it will err towards Combat/Exploration but there will be plenty of time and chances to Roleplay. Rule of cool within reason is applicable at the table as sometimes the rules as written just don't cut it.

How will character creation work
Characters will be done in a Session 0 before the game starts, whether this is individual or in the group is up to you! Stats will be done as Roll 4 d6 dropping the lowest score. Any fully released Race/Class can be discussed, Homebrew and Unearthed Arcana are off limits. Sheets will be completed on Roll20 to allow ease of access in game.
