Ruins of the Yuan-Ti

About the adventure

There are rumors of ruins off in the forest, abandoned for hundreds of years and just waiting for someone to lay claim. One wealthy store owner would love to claim this land to be used as a luxury vacation getaway for nobles. He has also heard rumors that the ruins are not abandoned and are crawling with deadly snakes, which is why he needs a group of adventurers to clear the place out and create a map of the path there. This one-shot is open to players of any and all experience levels. Level three characters will be available for whoever needs them, or you can create your own before the session. This one-shot can also be scaled for characters spanning levels 3-5! If you have played a one-shot with me before, feel free to bring that character back for this adventure (and the loot they acquired in previous sessions)! If the character is not level 3 yet, then you have two options: (1) message me on discord we can make them level 3, or (2) you can wait and play one of my level 1-3 adventures you haven't done yet (which will give them more XP and more loot!). Please note that this one-shot is for all ages! The level of violence and gore will be scaled to the preferences and ages of the players who sign up. How to prepare

You will need: - free discord account - device with a microphone (webcam optional but not required) - free D&D Beyond account I will send players a link to the campaign on D&D Beyond where they can claim a pre-made character or create their own with access to the D&D content I own. The link to join the discord server will be in the campaign description on D&D Beyond. You may choose to roll physical dice, but if you do not have any, there is a digital rolling mechanism on D&D Beyond.

Should you choose to create your own character on D&D Beyond, you will have access to this source material when character building through the campaign.

Gameplay details

X, N, and O cards will be digitally messaged through discord. The game will have an open door policy. As a subset of that, any player may call a "timeout" at any point in the session if they need a short break. Stars and Wishes will be done through a discord channel, which players can access for several days after a session ends. A note about the content warnings below: This session will be run without extreme descriptions of violence on default. Any description of events will be PG-13 in nature unless all players are 17+ and comfortable with such descriptions. The content warnings given express anything that *could* occur in-session when considering the possible actions players could take. The amount of combat/violence is mostly up to the players for this one-shot. I will provide a list of definitive content warnings here (these will occur in the session). How will character creation work

Level 3 characters will be provided on D&D Beyond and on a first-come first-serve basis. If you wish to create your own character, please message me (on discord) at least 3 hours before the session, and have your character complete at least an hour before the session. If you have played in a past one-shot session with me and wish to use the same character, message me on discord at least 1 hour before the session.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
