Rime of the Frostmaiden: Winter is Brutal

About the adventure

You find yourself trapped in the brutal tundra of the Icewind Dales. With no way out, you have no choice left but to carve a survival between the brutal open lands and the oppressed Ten Towns. But even as you scavenge and struggle, winter's grip grows tighter around everyone and everything. The only way to return these lands to balance, is the destroy the cold deity who's ice cold claws have brought on the never ending winter. Can you free the Icewind Dales?

How to prepare

We will use audio mics. Please create your character on DND Beyond ahead of time, with art. Make an account on the Forge to access the VTT. If you use Google Chrome, there is an extension called "Beyond 20" that will allow you to roll from your DnD Beyond character sheet and have those roles show up in the Forge. If you wish to use this, please download Beyond 20 before session 1. I will also provide a link to my discord server. Please take the time to look over the Session 0 and House Rules documents. Failure to read them is not an excuse for violating any rules written within.

What I provide

Quality maps, 3D dice, ambiance music and sounds, DnD Beyond premium content, some quirky voiced NPC's and a thirst for fun! All these things will be virtual! Virtual tokens are made based off of the art you set on your DnD Beyond sheet. I will import your sheet from DND Beyond into the Forge before the session.

Gameplay details

Session 0 will take place first, then all other sessions will be gameplay. I also have some notes you can read in my discord to get everyone on the same page as far as characters, using the Forge, homebrew rules, safety tools, etc. RPG Consent checklist is also on the discord server. Character creation is rules as written, Point Buy according to Wizards of the Coast. All official WotC content is fair game. No homebrew or unofficial content for character creation without my explicit confirmation.

How will character creation work

Use Dnd Beyond to create your character sheets. Use point buy to set the ability scores. It is mandatory to create your character before the session. Please set the art for your characters as I will be using your chosen art from DND Beyond to make your character token on the Forge. I will provide the DnD Beyond link to this game in order to share my purchased content with you. Then you will be able to use my purchased content to create your character if you wish.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
