About the adventure

Everybody dreams of being famous. Phenomena is where you go to make that dream a reality. The new technology of the Animated Portraits (think: video) has revolutionized entertainment and caused a new population boom in the region. But all that flickers is not firestone. There is a dark criminal underbelly to the land of Phenomena, and much of it is funded by rival Studios trying to get an advantage over their competition. A traveling band (you) comes to Phenomena with nothing more than hope and a dream to play in the big city, but they accidentally get caught up on something way bigger than they ever expected...

How to prepare

I will provide a world document. Prepare by reading that for inspiration. You can either create a character in advance (level 3), or use one of my pre-generated characters for this world. I will provide everything else.

What I provide

D&D Beyond for character/campaign management access to a Discord server with dice roller bots, and custom battle maps presented with Owlbear Rodeo.

Gameplay details

All these themes are on a sliding scale and we will adjust them as needed based on the comfort of the players. This will be a 1-2 session Mini-Campaign. We will be starting at level 5, and everyone is some kind of bard. You can make a character ahead of time on D&D Beyond, or play one of several pre-generated characters.

How will character creation work

You can bring a character of your own, built to level 3, OR you can use a pre-generated character. We won't have time to do full character creation in the game itself, but I will provide a world document in advance and have an open door prior to the game to discuss character ideas. You will be rewarded with inspiration if you tie your character backstory into the lore from the world document.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
