MoonGlow (a D6 Space Horror Odyssey)

About the adventure

Two-Shot Episodic Game (4-8 hours each) Moonglow is a space horror exploration/investigation game requiring team work and decent role-playing. The Moonglow station (a secret, huge corporate owned research facility) is located on 433 Eros. What was once an asteroid orbiting Sol within its inner belt, now (with the help of human intervention) is a moon of the planet Jupiter. The Moonglow station has not sent any update transmissions in the last 24 hours. It is supposed to update every 12. Missing two of its dedicated communications with no alerts, the board has decided to investigate. You are a member of the crew aboard the Helix Omega. The Helix happens to be the closest ship to the Moonglow station, currently orbiting Ganymede after a successful last mission. With the reactors fully charged, and the ship fully stocked, the six person Crew of the Helix answers the call: A journalist turned corporate agent, with a lot to prove, leads the crew. A brash risk taking young pilot mans the Helm. An overprotective security officer who means well, but doesn't like messes. A medical officer with a sacred oath to end no life. An engineer whos a little too good at their job, and knows it. And the Computer Scientist, calculating and cunning. This crew will work together to investigate the reason why the Moonglow station went dark and report all findings back to corporate, for a hefty fee or course.

How to prepare

Have access to your character sheet/stats and a means of rolling dice. (Real or Virtual) up tp 20D6 rolls can be made. Have Discord downloaded and a clear Mic. Have an account setup on www.astraltabletop.com (100% free for PC's and web based (no install))

What I provide

I have all the maps setup including random encounters with fog of war and dynamic lighting. I use ambiance music to help set the mood, as well as quite a few animated maps. Voice changer to add some sauce. All maps are detailed to the specific game AND are animated! Fully explorable Ship and Moonbase.

Gameplay details

This game contains descriptive fantasy violence, gore and horror in a sci-fi setting. There will be fantasy conversations and situations that some may find unsettling. If this game were to carry a movie rating, it would be R and only players 18+ are allowed at this time. At the start of the first session, The Luxton Technique will be discussed and will carry through all gameplay. Anyone can halt the game at anytime for any personal reason. All is in good fun as long as the entire table agrees. No one is left out of group standards decisions. If we all are open and honest about what we are feeling, in and out of character, we can work together to make a strong group and win the day!

How will character creation work

Backstories can be full or light just as long as your PC has purpose besides 'I kill everything I see and take whatever I want because its a game and nothing matters!' All stats, skills and starting equipment are set for the 6 positions and are job type appropriate to help you succeed in your chosen role. Gender/Pronouns and Names are up to you! (Presets if you don't want that kind of stress :P) A journalist turned corporate agent, with a lot to prove, leads the crew. A brash risk taking young pilot sits at the Helm.
