About the adventure

On a dark forest road, a figure drives a weathered wagon through a downpour while lightning streaks the sky overhead. While the wagon trudges miserably through the muddy road, the area slowly becomes shrouded in mist. The howling of wolves suddenly echoes all around. With a weary sigh, the figure stops the wagon and climbs down, leaning on a cane. Sensing an easy meal, the wolves close in, eyes reflecting the weak lamplight from the wagon. With a whisper of steel, a blade is pulled from the cane, and the figure flashes their prey a wolfish grin of their own. In her room at a once-grand mansion, a young woman examines her troubled reflection in the mirror while the sounds of a furious siege rage all around her home. Her expression settles into fierce determination as she turns on her heel and strides to the door, grabbing her sword on the way out. On a balcony at her ancestral castle, a woman watches the storm lash on, thoughtfully swirling her wine around in its ornate goblet. She is the lady of all she surveys, the unquestioned ruler of her land, and yet this brings her no joy; these days, few things do. With an expression of disgust at her bout of self-pity, she casually flings the goblet over the balustrade and walks back inside. An epic romance. An unfathomable tragedy. A dreadful curse. Are monsters born, or are they made? Is everything predetermined by Fate, or do our choices matter? How to prepare

You'll need: - A computer that can run FoundryVTT - A stable internet connection - A Discord account and a mic that's good enough for us to hear you clearly - A general, not too detailed character concept - A HeroForge model of your character for your character sheet and token

What I provide

I'll provide a private Foundry server with built-in character sheets containing all official player options (except any that don't make sense for the adventure), fully customizable 3D dice, and all the resources you'll need to create your character. I also provide ambient music and sounds, beautiful art handouts, HD topdown tokens, and lovingly rendered, immersive maps complete with animated special effects for an aesthetically rich experience!

How will character creation work

The campaign runs from level 1 to level 14. Character creation will only be finalized after Session Zero, but you can come up with a few different loose concepts you'd like to try beforehand. Once you join the adventure, you'll have access to my Discord server and wiki, which contains all the details about the game, from safety tools, to rules and character creation, and to pricing and attendance. I'm also happy to answer any questions via Discord @aez_thoryn.
