About the adventure

🃏 Face Off Against Familiar Adversaries ☠️ Uncover Deadly Crime Syndicates 🏰Save A City in Peril The Vigilante-Beam, a powerful magical flare, has been set off atop the Watchmaster Hall in the city of Rothun. Sir Norton, Captain of the City Guard, has made a call to all the vigilantes & adventurers that patrol the region, desperately seeking your aid. For weeks, a powerful drug has been making the rounds in Rothun's criminal underworld--Laughing Gas, a magical substance that sends people into violent fits of laughter & ultimately death. Sir Norton believes that an arcanist known as *The Jester* is responsible for the deaths, and wants to stop him before more victims suffer. Norton has heard that an exchange is happening tonight on Lawbreaker Lane, but suspects that corrupt watchmen will tip off the criminals. Can your group intercept the Laughing Gas and take down the Jester before its too late?! This is a 3 or 4 session Mini Campaign, with a 3 to 4 hour session running once weekly. (The possibility of an extended campaign optional after 4th session)

How to prepare

Players should have a decent laptop/desktop with a mouse. A camera is not required but a good working mic is. Players must also have a free player account both D&D Beyond & Foundry website to be able to create your character sheet and access the game. A basic understanding of Foundry VTT is helpful.

Gameplay details

This game plays on the classic Batman Superhero / Villain Tropes 🔹There will be typical D&D violence, battles, and some mild language. 🔹At the start of each session I will go over what to expect, and ask players if there is anything specific they wish to avoid. 🔹X-Cards will be in play during the game, and can be shown on screen anonymously anytime to indicate someone is not comfortable with the content. 🔹We will take a short 5-10 min break mid-session so people can get snacks and stretch.

How will character creation work

🔹Characters will start at Level 7 🔹Players may roll 4d6 and drop the lowest or take standard array for stats. 🔹Character sheets will be made in D&D Beyond & I will import your character into Foundry. 🔹 Characters can be prepared ahead of time or at the start of the session if you need assistance. ➡️Special Mechanics:⬅️ 🔹Take a 6 in any stat to choose a Common or Uncommon Cloak, Cape, or Mantle or 🔹Take a 4 in any stat to choose a Rare Cloak, Cape, or Mantle.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
