About the adventure

Reimagine Jay Dragon's Wanderhome...in space! Join us, storytellers and travelers, as we journey through planets and stars in a reimagined pastoral sci-fi setting where our small group of animal-folk kith have set off to explore new worlds. For those familiar or new with Wanderhome, Hæth in Space! uses 'Wanderhome Independent Content' made by various writers. While the core game mechanics remain the same, we will use independent homebrew character playbooks and natures made by indie creators. Will you be a wandering astrologer finding meaning in the stars, or perhaps an adventurous cosmonaut hoping to touch the moon? It's up to you and your crew members to explore it and find out. This is a guided Wanderhome one-shot, no dice or prior player experience is necessary. For fans of endearing animal-folk stories and magically kind content.

How to prepare

Players are required to have a discord account, microphone, and headphones. Wanderhome utilizes a token system to help us tell our story. You will track your own tokens as you give and take them and they can take the form of many things: coins, grains, pens, acorns, scraps of paper, whatever you have on hand!

What I provide

Game resources will be provided. Wanderhome is theater of the mind, background music and images may be utilized to set the tone of our story.

Gameplay details

🪐 What is Wanderhome? Created by Jay Dragon, "Wanderhome is a pastoral fantasy role-playing game about traveling animal-folk, the world they inhabit, and the way the seasons change." It is a no-dice nonviolent/noncombat storytelling game. The setting of Wanderhome alludes to being a post-war era with elements of folk religions that may be referenced by characters or the GM. Not all or potentially any of the topics provided in the content warnings may be present depending on our story, please let me know if there is any content you would like for our session to not reference. Generally, before and after sessions we chat for a bit to separate ourselves from our story. 🚀 How does a Wanderhome session work? Players will be guided through a story by the GM/guide based on their selected character playbooks and actions. No dice or prior player experience is necessary. All you need to bring is your imagination. 🌻 For Haeth in Space, our gameplay will work the same as any other Wanderhome session, but instead of the earthly homes you are used to, we will travel the stars! We will move around space imaginatively - like the "The Little Prince" who may travel around with ease on his tiny simple planet. In addition to safety tools checked, Wanderhome has its own set of journeying tools that allow players to redirect the story within the narrative inspired by the Script Change safety mechanic.

How will character creation work

Please review the 'Haeth in Space' character playbooks for the playbook you would like to select & fillable PDF that will be provided prior to your session. Part of the enjoyment of Wanderhome is the character creation which will take the first 30-45 minutes of gameplay. We will go around the group building any new characters and their bonds with one another before we set on our journey.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
