About the adventure

The Great Dragon Azmodarolaxxophar is dead. When that ragged band of adventurers entered the valley, no one thought they would stand a chance against the great wyrm and his legions, but they pulled it off. Now, the valley is in ruin, and the great goblin empire is broken and scattered. You were never so grateful to be guarding the refuse piles. In this custom campaign, you will play a goblinoid exploring the aftermath of an adventuring party's campaign and attempt to restore your tribe, and maybe gain a little power along the way.

How to prepare

Needed for the game: Microphone, in a relatively quiet environment is required. Webcam is optional but highly preferred. It enhances communication significantly. You will need an account on both Roll20 and Discord. (Both free) I will provide a link to both the Discord server and the roll20 table with the prep materials. We will use Discord to post house rules and setting notes as necessary, as well as provide a place for discussion between sessions. Roll20 will hold our character sheets, serve as a dice roller, and VTT when necessary. Bring an open mind to session 0. Having a character concept in mind is great but not necessary. If you do have a character in mind, I ask that you remain flexible to adapt to the collaberative nature of character creation. If you wish to play a character build outside of the core classes and races, please have a copy of the required suppliments available for your reference. Some means of taking notes will be helpful, and if you wish to physically roll dice, then bring them.

What I provide

* A fun and collaborative environment where your characters' actions matter and shape the story and the world. * Roll20 VTT * Custom maps * Custom tokens * Discord server * An engaging story * Challenging conundrums * Bad accents - I am not a voice actor, but it doesn't stop me from trying. * Bad jokes * Good attitude * Endless patience * Tons of trivial trivia * Lots of fun The most important rule to me is that everyone is having fun. If the rules, as written, interfere with that, we will ignore them in that instance. The rules are my guide, not the law.

Gameplay details

During Session 0, I will thoroughly review all safety tools and explain their usage. Additionally, I allocate the last 15 minutes of the scheduled game time for a discussion of the session and the application of any necessary safety tools. The game involves playing as monsters that fall on the evil side of the alignment system. Though alignment will not be mechanically enforced, players may make decisions that fall on the evil side of the morality spectrum. In these instances the interactions will be limited by established safety protocols. We will most likely engage in the typical dungeon diving and monster fighting associated with Dungeons and Dragons, so there may be some simulated violence. The narrative of these encounters will be tailored to the group's taste level.

How will character creation work

Characters will be starting at level 1, and will be playing Goblinoids (Goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears). The first session of the game will be a Session 0 where we will handle character creation as a group. I do charge for session 0, but the first session of the game is free for anyone who attends the session 0.
