About me

Hello, my name is Adam, and I have been playing pretend with dice for over 30 years. I am passionate about gaming. I will play any game I can get my hands on. I enjoy collaborative storytelling, hanging out with other creative people, laughing, and having a good time as we storm the castle, battle ancient undead, and zoom through space in an old starcruiser held together by duct tape and well wishes. There is no better way to spend an afternoon, morning, or evening. I am always looking for new players to create amazing stories with. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a first-time gamer, you are welcome at my table.

GM style

My GM style is about fostering a collaborative and immersive storytelling experience where player choices matter, roleplay is central, and the game world responds dynamically to the actions of the characters. When I run a game, I collaborate with the players to weave their character backgrounds and aspirations into the overarching narrative, making the story a shared creation. The plot evolves based on the players' actions and decisions; the story adapts to the choices made by the players, not the other way around. The story is never set in stone, and I embrace the unexpected twists and turns the players throw at me. In my opinion, it is the best part of GMing. While I do prioritize roleplay, I recognize the importance of combat in many game systems. I aim for a balanced mix, ensuring that combat encounters are meaningful, challenging, and contribute to the overall story. Tactical elements are present, but they never overshadow the importance of character-driven narratives. When it comes to the game's mechanics, the most important thing to me is that everyone is enjoying themselves. If the rules, as written, get in the way of that, we will disregard them in that instance. The rules are a guide, not the law. I strive to create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere at the table, where people can feel comfortable being themselves, whether they want to be serious or silly. These games are meant to be fun, and I am committed to making them just that.
