How to prepare

This is an asynchronous play-by-post game played by Discord with the Avrae bot. This means that posts will be made throughout the week; it's to the pace of the group. All playing will be done by text, making things accessible for those who aren't able to use voice. I will update at least daily. What I provide

Enigma, your DM, provides an incredible experience, with the help of various tools about 20 years of experience with text roleplay. His games include: 🔹 Working one-on-one with you to weave your character backstory in and make this a unique experience. 🔹 Adding his own twist to the story and accounting for character actions and interactions. This is not a static world, and the echoes of the party's choices will be seen. 🔹 Giving characters boons and magic items and scaling up monsters to make combat engaging and challenging. Monsters will not hold back, but the DM will root for your success. 🔹 Creating NPCs with motivations and personalities, who may help or hinder the player characters. Maintain friendships, rivalries, make enemies or even potentially lovers (with consent). 🔹 Customized heroic rivals that will try to oppose the party at every turn. 🔹 Additional monsters from Kobold Press, Level Up 5E, Monster Manual Expanded, 2CGaming, etc 🔹 Custom (homebrew) content and systems from the DM and third-parties. 🔹 Pre-generated characters or concepts, in case you do not wish to create your own Dreams will bring: 🔹 Their knowledge of Avrae VTT, which they will teach players wanting to learn 🔹 Their resources, which they share with Enigmatic

Gameplay details

🏳️‍🌈♾️👨🏾‍🦲 This is a safe table for people of all types. Dreams is trans and queer, Enigma is LGBTQIA+, and we are both neurodivergent. We hope to make a place where all can feel accepted, regardless of race, gender, beliefs. 👨🏾‍🦲♾️🏳️‍🌈 This campaign is a play-by-post format, which means that it's heavy on roleplay but also includes challenging combat and exploration. As a play-by-post (PBP) campaign, it's asynchronous and played only via text, with no voice or sessions. The game is played throughout the week and billed on a subscription basis. The speed of the campaign goes with the pace of the group, and I will post daily (except on weekends when I take a break). Players will get to experience the story and system while playing via text, and I and Dreams are always here to help. Safety tools will always be in effect; this game is a safe and inclusive place. We will use safety cards, Monte-Cooke consent form, lines and veils, and any other safety tools the group needs. Both Enigma and Dreams are neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+, and seek to provide a safe table for all players. Accessibility is a big part of the game, and accommodations will be made to meet your needs so that you can have fun. How will character creation work

I will allow any official D&D content (within reason, please flavor if it's from another setting book than the PHB or Dragonlance). We have a way of wiggling in just about anything. I will have a document posted below that will help you to make a character. There are however, some specific restrictions. The following are specifics for this adventure: 🔹 Gold has no value in this world. Each place has its own currency and its own values for trade. What one country values may be worthless in another. 🔹 Clerical spells have not existed for nearly 300 years. Some people still call themselves clerics, still belong to worshipful orders; however, all of these have turned their backs on the true gods in search of other, less demanding gods (which do not exist). These pseudoclerics use the same combat table as true clerics but have no spell abilities. PC clerics brought into Krynn from other campaigns lose their spell-casting abilities at once. Never fear: it is the goal of this adventure to regain these abilities. 🔹 No dragons have existed in Krynn for over 1000 years. As a result, most people in this world smile when dragons are mentioned, believing they are only folktales to frighten children. Few believe that dragons ever did exist; almost nobody believes that they exist now. (This doesn't mean I won't allow draconic creatures (including dragons), but there will be in-game consequences.) The rest is on character creation: ✅ Level 4 start. ✅ Free feat from Level 1. Variant Human/Custom Lineage get an extra magic weapon. ✅ Point-Buy (27) or standard-array for stats. ✅ Start with one uncommon magic item, and two common. (Nothing that provides healing). ✅ Starting Gear + 200GP. I also love custom/third-party content (homebrew), and within long-term campaigns, I want to give you the option to use custom content. Homebrew races and subclasses will be allowed, within reason. Provide me with the material or your idea for what you want, and I'll sit down and help you get it into D&D Beyond and Avrae. This is with the disclaimer that if it ends up too powerful, we will adjust it. Don't want to make a character?
