About the adventure
Powerful kingdoms, Lovecraftian beasts, daring pirates, wailing ghosts, and wealthy trade organizations clash in a region that is home to the simple fishing village of Saltmarsh. While the inhabitants of Saltmarsh just want to be left to their own devices, any adventurer worth their salt recognizes the opportunity for riches and glory (or infamy). The adventure will take you through levels 1-12 in a sandbox setting that includes the high seas, marshes, various islands, and mysterious underwater ruins. Discover whether ancient legends of Saltmarsh are true or merely tales designed to scare away potential visitors as you yourself become a legend of the high seas. Saltmarsh and its many denizens (bipedal with an eyepatch or tentacled with far too many eyes) await!

Additional Details
How to prepare
A mic and a web browser (laptop, PC, Mac...) are required to play. No installation is required as everything is browser-based. Knowledge of the rules is not required because the game is open to beginners.
What I provide
I bring FoundryVTT, the most powerful virtual tabletop (dynamic lighting, music, character and gameplay automation), extensive knowledge of the rules, years of experience as a GM, deep and adaptive storytelling, and silly voices.
Gameplay details
The game is an even mix of all three pillars (exploration, roleplay, combat) with all rolls being made out in the open (no fudging) because I believe in an honest and open approach to the game. Combat can be difficult but always fair and is always in service to the story instead of being a pointless grind that slows players down. We will be using Foundryvtt because it offers a plethora of options that enhance the game (ambience music, dynamic lighting, special effects, and more).

How will character creation work
Character creation can be done during session 0 with the DM after which the characters will be play-tested. If players want to prepare a character in advance, they should use point buy or standard array for ability score generation and can use any officially published material.
