About the adventure
This game is an introduction to the Fate system, using a few different Fate Worlds to showcase the flexibility and possibility of the system. From fantasy to sci-fi to superheroes to urban weirdness, Fate works well for all kinds of stories cinematic action and strong narrative. --Masters of Umdaar is a post-apocalyptic fantasy in the vein of Thundarr the Barbarian and John carter of Mars. Help prevent the evil Masters from enslaving the Lands of Light! --Atomic Robo is alternate science action adventure with strong flavors of Buckaroo Banzai and Indiana Jones. Great pyramids as landing platforms for alien spaceships? Don't be silly--they're moving weapons platforms channeling odic energy, jeez.

How to prepare
Players will need a webcam, a microphone and a Roll20 account. Everything else will be provided in the VTT. If a player *wants* to read ahead, Fate Core is available on drivethrurpg.com at a pay-what-you-want level, so you can check it out & see if it's your jam.
What I provide
I intend to bring a solid knowledge of the game, and an ability to teach the basics in a fun way. My goal is that everyone will be able to take away a fun experience, and a better understanding of how the system works and it's potential to tell lots of stories!
Gameplay details
We will take the first few minutes to go over safety, using Lines and Veils, and to cover using Script Change and X-Card macros in the Roll20 VTT.

How will character creation work
Character creation is quick and painless, though I will have a few pre-generated characters to choose from as well. Part of learning the system is learning how a character works, so we'll go through that as part of the process.
