About the adventure

It is a dark time for the galaxy. After the Rebel Alliance destroyed the powerful Deathstar the Galactic Empire has begun striking back. The Imperial forces have thrown the galaxy into war has they hunt down the rebels and anyone showing sympathy toward their cause. Meanwhile, on the Outer Rim the five crime syndicates go unchecked rounding up their enemies and selling them in an underground slave network. One such operation was run out of Umbra prison, the same prison that the Empire had been sending the Alliance prisoners. Umbra prison is a mobile space fortress meant to transport prisoners to more secure facilities, but its latest Warden has taken to selling them to local mining colonies as slaves to pay off their life sentences, or die trying. Captive on the Umbra, it is only a matter of time until a group of smugglers, criminals, and rebels are sold into a lifetime of slavery. As they drift on the Edge of the Empire, they only have one last chance to escape… Edge of the Empire is a Star Wars Roleplaying game that is in the same system as Force and Destiny and Age of Rebellion. It allows characters to play in the Star Wars Universe using the narrative dice system. The characters in this adventure will be escaping a highly fortified prison before they are sold into slavery on a mining planet.

How to prepare

Players will need: Free Discord Account Free Roll20 Account Microphone/Headset webcam (optional but recommended) Excitement and collaborative approach to storytelling with the group

What I provide

I am very much a story driven DM and look at gaming as a collaboration between myself and the players. I want to help you tell your character's greatest story, which often means using the Rule of Cool. I like to keep combat challenging but fun and will adjust it to the group's interests. I am not a voice actor by any means but will try to do voices to keep the characters interesting and dynamic. The narrative dice system for the Star Wars RPG is one of my favorite ways to experience tabletop RPGs, but it needs the players need to be engaged in the game throughout the session. New players to the game are welcome, as are veterans. I ask that you bring your creativity, love for the Star Wars Universe, and your excitement to each session.

Gameplay details

I love to tell a collaborative story with my players, but to do so everyone at the table must be comfortable, safety tools give us the freedom to know we can tell a story together without crossing into any territory that would make us or other players uncomfortable. Before the game, we will fill out our Lines and Veils and identify any areas that the group would like to keep off limits. We will also use X,N, and O cards to identify everyone is comfortable or if we need to tread carefully or avoid a subject all together. We will go over these tools in session 0. At the beginning of every session, I will go over what we covered in the last session and see if anyone has any feedback that we can incorporate into the campaign.

How will character creation work

We will complete character creation in session zero, but I will allow any resources from Edge of the Empire or Age of Rebellion. I can allow some species from Force and Destiny, but this game will not be centered around Jedi. If you are interested in a Jedi focused campaign please message me and if there is enough interest I will spin up another game.
