About the adventure

Journey to the land of Eidol, a magical and technological marvel on a planetary scale. Above, six different biomes on the six faces of this planet-sized cube, but below is a sprawling mega-dungeon of multiple layers that changes composition every month. Sail with the pirates of the ocean of Vast, meet with the Witches of the flying city in the Molten, or create with the engineers of the wasteland of the Scarred. Find your truth in the lands above or meet your fate in the dungeon below. šŸŽ² Adventure across the six faces of Eidol, or the 4 levels of the ever changing dungeon below. šŸ¤šŸ¾ Immerse yourself in the unique setting complete with cultures, lore and and original languages. šŸ³ Join a faction and work with Faction Intrigue; the innovative Prismguild, the Zealous Cult of Pandora, the Rowdy Avarich code, and more. šŸ° Build a Stronghold! Gain Followers! šŸ“– Determine the dynamic of the game and it's main story by your character's backstory and the factions you involve yourself with. āŒ› Long term adventure - levels 5-20 and potentially beyond. šŸŽ² Homebrew mechanics to increase player fun and character depth. Spell points, bonus action healing potions, and much more. Enjoy unparalleled character creation through a sprawling array of talent trees that replace feats, and level-based bonus talents so you don't have to sacrifice stats. šŸ» Very Homebrew friendly! Got an unofficial race, class, or subclass you've been dying to play? Ask about it! DM is willing to go over homebrew and balance if needed. šŸŽ® Media Inspiration - Final Fantasy 14, Elden Ring, Howl's Moving Castle, Kingdom Hearts

How to prepare

Players need to have a microphone, as well as a discord and a roll20 account. 5e published content will be provided to the players by the DM so the only other thing you need is a willingness to learn a few changes to the rules.

What I provide

I'll be bringing maps and tokens via roll20, music via a discord bot that you will have prior waring to long before it starts playing any music, and access to all of the currently published 5th edition material for you to access as well as a veritable hoard of homebrew.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a fairly relaxed game environment and an inclusive space to explore different character concepts. There are homebrew rules for downtime - such as magical item crafting and training to learn new skills and abilities. There are also additional customization options separate from class and race. Want to be a Paladin with arcane abilities? Or a Ranger with Psionics? Just about everything's open but all optional. The game rewards system mastery and your willingness to do a bit of reading but doesn't punish players who don't want to go down a complex character customization rabbit hole. The DM is an avid user of the rule of Cool and wants to make sure everyone's boundaries are respected. There are optional sandboxing and hexcrawling elements but the main focus of the game is flexible. You can make your own expeditions, have adventures in the lands above Eidol or in the dungeons below, or follow the whims of your character's backstories and the direction of factions to which you have allied.

How will character creation work

Once applications are accepted you'll be given an invite link to a discord server that will have resources for you to get started making your character. Session 0 will involve going over rules and the bulk of character creation once those rules are explained, but the DM will be available to answer questions and help with character creation before session 0 if you want to read through the rules and start making a character before session 0.
