About the adventure

As celebrations continue across the city of Glennvar, a summit begins preparations. The war is over and humans, dwarves, and elves across the Realms rejoice! The war is over, we have won! The war is over, let the wine and beer flow like the rivers; let the meat and bread stack up as high as mountains! Watch as the leaders of people from all over the Realms, kings and queens, commanders and nobles, high priests and rich tradespeople come here to join the summit. Watch the magical stonework of Glennvar raise the pedestals high up into the heavens as all these important voices prepare a discussion of what comes next. Yet this uneasy churning in your bellies is something beyond the excitement of the day. There's something inside all of you that has been growing with impatience for this day. And it aches to be released. Dark Torrents is a 9-10 episode-long campaign set in a homebrew world of Dungeons & Dragons. Our tale will follow a group of heroes who found themselves in the center of a cataclysmic event in a grand city. The whole campaign will take place within the city, in around 72-96 hours. As world-changing dark battles between good and evil rage far away in distant kingdoms, how will these common folk try to save their own city from being collateral in someone else's fight? During the free session 0, we will be talking about the story and creating your characters. This game is absolutely beginner friendly, you do not even need to know how to play ttrpgs.

Additional Details

How to prepare

All you need is a camera, a mic and your imagination. Pen and paper would help you out with keeping track of what's going on but they are not a necessity. We will be rolling dice, you can either bring your own or use an app or I can roll for you if you wish. However, I'd recommend rolling your own dice since it's fun! It would be much easier and fun for all of us if you create Discord and Roll20 accounts before the game! I'll be providing a document explaining the world and where you start during session 0.

What I provide

This is a homebrew world, so I'll be providing you with maps and documents detailing the world and its history. I'll also provide other digital hand-outs throughout the game.

How will character creation work

Everyone will be starting at level 5 or 6, we will decide on the level and progression throughout the campaign during session 0. All character creation will happen before or during session 0 as well.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
