About the adventure

The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this mighty champion of the War of Gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. Their name forgotten, heroic deeds lost to time, all that remains is their despair. They call out for new heroes to save them, will you answer? Inspired by the campaigns of the hit series, Critical Role, this adventure begins in the Wastes of Xhorhas and leads to the glimmering oasis-city of Ank'Harel on the continent of Marquet. You will travel the lands and into a sunken realm of gloom, corruption, and sorrow known as the Netherdeep while competing against a tenacious group of rival adventurers. How to prepare

Discord and Roll20 are both browser based and free, I'll be available to help anyone unfamiliar with Roll20 learn about it. I'll be using a webcam but I do not require it from anyone else. Mics are a bit more important for ease of communication, if you use a wireless mic I'd ask that it be with enough charge to last through the session or you have a plan in place should they expire abruptly. Have a picture that you feel fits your character, or enough of a description I could make a basic one.

What I provide

I will bring my 'A' game to every session, detailed maps, character tokens, a number of character voices, and soundtracks.

Gameplay details

Expect a story driven experience with dynamic combat and an organic world that shifts with your choices. Explore the world of the famous Critical Role series and visit locations both new and old. The use of safety tools and discussions of lines and triggers will occur in session 0 along with character creation. Roll20 has an X card system incorporated into it that will be available to all players.

How will character creation work

During session 0 we will create characters and stories, seeing how your character fits into the world of the game and what brought them to where they are when adventure calls. Anyone unfamiliar with Roll20 or D&D 5e can expect lots of help during the process, as I have helped many people learn how to use both.
