How to prepare

Before the start of your first session, you need to ensure that you have the following prepared: 1. Your Own Discord account (Free) 2. A Tested and functioning Webcam and Microphone (Webcam is optional but highly encouraged) -> Headphones are prefered to avoid any echo from speakers. 3. D&D Beyond Account (Free) 4. Owlbear Rodeo VTT Account (Free) 5. Enthusiasm to weave a fantastical tale of daring and adventure.

Gameplay details

When you sign up: ➤ You will be sent a link to fill a Content Consent Checklist (Similar to Monte Cook’s List) ➤ You will be sent a link to the Discord Server (Parliament of Owls) where the campaign will be run. ➤ Upon Joining the Discord there will be Links to additional documents that include: ➢ A Setting Summary – Basic introduction to the Lore of the Campaign Setting ➢ More specific Details for Character Creation Session 0 Covers the following: (By necessity it may be a longer session) ◐ We will write and agree upon the Group Lines and Veils based on The Digital Consent Checklist’s Filled by each player – as well as any other topics raised or expanded upon. ◐ Methods of Implementation of other Safety tools. ◐ Discussion of Optional Homebrew Rules. ◐ Character Creation – At least the mechanics and math parts – Backstories will be written privately with support from the DM. At the end of each session we will each take in turns going through Stars & Wishes - Highlighting the things we enjoyed and expressing what we would like to see in future sessions.

How will character creation work

Character Creation will be conducted during session 0. Characters will start at lvl 1 with Max HP for their class + an additional 2d6 HP All PC's will use the same rolled stat array - this array will be rolled collectively by the group - Each player taking in turn to roll one set of 4d6 dropping the lowest die. (This method statistically slants the group with higher stats than standard array and Point Buy) Details of the specific races available in the Campaign will be contained in the Setting Summary Document (Given Via Discord upon joining), but most Officially published Races are available with setting specific lore, excluding a few races from "Monsters of the Multiverse", all races from "Spelljammer: Adventures in Space" and the "Locathah Rising" Supplement. In addition, there will be further races selectively made available from some Kobold Press Published resources. Class & Background - Starting Equipment is used – In addition starting Gold is Rolled for during Session 0. ----- Milestone Levelling will be used. Feats are used (Variant Human) – Though beyond those taken at character creation will be earned or awarded as story-based rewards. Methods of this will be discussed during Session 0. Therefore on relevant levels Ability Score Increases (ASI) will always be taken.
