About the adventure

Far from the cities, deep into cajun country, lies the city of Jacks Crossing, Louisiana. Away from the razzle dazzle of New Orleans, this is a quiet city, with good honest folk who are born, live & die here. Well most of them at least. You see, behind the placid stares of the god fearing church goers, & the smiles of happy couples watching as their children chase the fireflies, there is a truth they all know. When the sun goes down in Jack's Crossing, its the living dead who truly rule this city. Vampires. Following the end of the civil war, the Sanctified declared this place holy ground. But kindred had been here long before the sanctified came, & the Circle of the Crone did not take kindly to having their ritual places invaded & their territories claimed. So for over a century now, a war of blood & religious fervor has raged. The people have been nothing but food & fodder to the kindred leading their great crusades in the night. The mortality rate, the highest in the state as far back as anyone can remember. The Ordo Dracul managed to force a decade long peace, but recently this truce crumbled as the kindred discovered the ordo leaders where breaking the traditions. The remaining ordo now are banding together for survival & trying to stay out of the way of the other covenants. Now the sanctified & the crone are at war once more, & the other kindred of the city are doing everything they can to keep the masquerade from falling apart completely. Can they hold it together & find a way to end this blood war? Or will the mortals of jack's crossing finally realize the horrors that wage war in the night?

Additional Details

How to prepare

A discord account with quality microphone that allows for clear communication with a stable internet connection. A PC that can meet the requirements to run Foundry Virtual Tabletop. Familiarity with the Chronicles of Darkness rules is good but not required, as I will be supplying reference material via foundry for all the basic rules.

What I provide

I will be supplying the Foundry VTT for use with our game, with all the basic rules of Chronicles of Darkness input into it. Full custom graphics & NPC interfaces I've programed for it specifically for use with Vampire the Requiem.

Gameplay details

Most sessions will be a mixture of investigation, role playing & combat depending on where the current plot line is going. Combat is also very dangerous & realistic, so characters becoming injured or close to death isnt impossible. We will be utilizing the territory controls system in damnation city for this chronicle, to represent the areas the player characters take control. This game will operate in theatre of the mind, but we will be utilizing a high quality custom interface & graphics I've built via foundry VTT. Content Warning : Descriptions of supernatural murder & horror(which may or may not occur to player characters). Violence. Obscene/vulgar language(cursing) Adult themes(sex, drinking, criminal activity) Sexual content will always fade to black if it occurs, & will never occur between player characters unless all involved players consent. Lines & veils will also be honored & set up ahead of the chronicle via discord chat, so that I can fine tune any plot content to avoid things players may not want to face in game. Additionally, I am always online via my discord both during & outside of game should you need to bring something to my attention, whether thats a veil thats being approached too close or something makes you uncomfortable. Session 0

How will character creation work

Character generation will occur during a zero session with everyone present. This is as much to make sure we all mesh as a group of people as it is to make the characters, backgrounds & get everyones equipment setup. We will also discuss lines & veils for the game(please Private message me ahead of time if your uncomfortable with expressing these in a live chat). For those that join later, a one on one zero session will be scheduled outside of the normal game time to make you a character. Afterwards communication & further background info will be conducted with everyone via a discord channel on the server I use. No character's will be approved prior to the zero session. This includes pre-generated characters, & all players will be required to meet the same character creation expectations of the table, which may vary from group to group.

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
