About the adventure

You find yourself alone with your thoughts on a lonely platform as you hold a ticket to the lightning rail, with the wastelands ahead as the final stop. Your patron wishes to discover two things; the source of the cataclysm that wiped out an entire country, and how to reverse it. Memories of the Last War flood your mind as anticipation turns to anxiety. You await the other members of the team who have been hand picked to take on expeditions into the wastes and back, and hear footsteps - boots on iron. A voice snaps you out of your thoughts,"Hey pal, you ready to do this thing or what?" 🌋Explore the Wasteland 💎Extract Crystals 💀Come back Alive The Unknowable Wasteland is a thrilling pulp action and cosmic horror blend of an adventure set in Eberron mashed up with elements from the exciting "Dungeons of Drakkenhiem" settings. 🔷Experience a fully realized setting with reactive citizens and terrifying monsters 🔷Engage in immersive and character-driven roleplay in a high fantasy setting with Pulp adventure and Film Noir vibes 🔷Face challenging but fair encounters that require strategy and teamwork 🔷Foster deep relationships with NPCs and other players through collaborative storytelling Your character may or may not survive the dangers of the wastelands, but you will have a blast with quality voice acting, a moody atmosphere, a simple-to-use system friendly to beginners, and a DM who is your biggest fan. Gameplay details

🗣️Fights Matter, and Roleplay is emphasized: There will be plenty of combat, but note that my games generally feature a high level of roleplay between party members and NPCs of the world. Roleplay and dramatic storytelling are emphasized. Make a character that is both fun to play and play with. 🔋We promote a positive and safe place to play together: I aim for an immersive experience where players work together and look forward to playing with each other each week. Do what your character would do, but never at the expense of others. To be blunt, if you are a jerk, gatekeeper, bigot, cheater, are over competitive, power game to the point of rules exploits, hog the spotlight, or a bad sport, this is not the table for you. PVP is not allowed. No Evil Characters. Respect narrative consent and be a team player. Problematic play of any kind is not tolerated. 🦺Content Warning and Safety: Please note references to the following are common in this adventure: Violence, murder, blood, gore, cannibalism, and body horror. Degenerative mutations cause physical disfigurement and madness/insanity. Rats, spiders, insects, demons, undead, ghosts, and other monsters. Natural disasters, a large-scale loss of life, civil war, displaced persons, and refugees. Moral ambiguity, social/political manipulation, religious zealotry, and military nationalism. The campaign does not contain explicit sexuality, sexual assault, systemic racism, homophobia, or transphobia. Safety system based on the TTRPG Safety Toolkit by Kienna Shaw and Lauren Bryant-Monk utilizing Red X, Yellow N, and Green O cards built into the VTT. 📐Expect a game that follows Rules as Written (RAW), but note flavor is free. Some of the house rules you should know about: Healing potions took as a bonus action No flanking for advantage Any PC can use scrolls with an Arcana check If you are playing a class with summons, keep a maximum of four (4) Luck system replaces inspiration (from Black Flag packet 2) ⛔Zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination based on race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, etc. DM reserves the right to remove a player immediately if violating any of the ground rules.

How will character creation work

Characters start at level 3, using point buy or standard array. No rolled stats. Character creation should be emphasized not to create invincible, video-game-type characters that always succeed and can never die - but to play something fun and fun to play WITH. You can come to the table with a character concept, pick a pregenerated characer, or if you like I will help you create a character that will be fun to play. We can work together to pick race, class, and abilities to match your playstyle and preferences in session zero or one-on-one meetings. You can create your character using nearly anything from: WOTC published content with the world of Eberron in mind, some exclusions like space-faring folk and others will apply

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium

  • Roleplay: High

  • Puzzles: Low
